Those Things Done In The Dark...

  1. You say what you feel, man. Knowing that a hospital's administration promotes unsafe and illegal practices would certainly not make me want to give my life or the lives of my loved ones into their care. It's downright scary. I think you were right to post this information to the public. People have a right to know what's happening when it concerns their own healthcare, especially when that care is in danger.
I can't blame you for leaving. It isn't right that you had to because of some people's unnecessary drama, but you have to do what's best for you too.

    1. Thank you. Your comment is extremely affirming. I'm considering writing a revised version of this for the newspaper.

  2. I had a response ready and it disappeared. So I'll try again. First off I am appalled and a bit mad that you were treated that way. Your dream was reality and these bad people messed that up. Knowing you, I can guarantee that you were the nurse that everyone wanted to be theirs. I know you are a good nurse and, God willing, will continue your dream in a place that will appreciate you. Second, why does Brownfield need a bigger hospital? It hasn't grown much since the early 80's and I'm assuming that hasn't really changed. Instead of a bigger hospital they should be focusing on getting better retail stores to boost the economy and give residents a reason not to go spend their money in Lubbock. It would be a waste of taxpayers money and would also be another reason for people to not like B-town. I miss it but not the small town politics. I hope you find a good place to land on your feet (in nursing shoes) You deserve to live that dream.....
